Recipe of the Day: Grilled Ribeye Steaks

Ingredients:

  • 4 Double B Beef ribeye steaks

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • 1 tablespoon kosher salt

  • 1 tablespoon freshly ground black pepper

  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder

  • 1 tablespoon onion powder

  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika

  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme

  • Fresh rosemary sprigs (optional)

  • Fresh thyme (optional)

  • Lemon wedges for serving


Instructions


Prepare the Steaks

  • Remove the ribeye steaks from the refrigerator about 30 minutes before grilling to bring them to room temperature.

  • Pat the steaks dry with paper towels.


Season the Steaks

  • In a small bowl, combine the salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, and dried thyme.

  • Rub the steaks with olive oil on both sides.

  • Generously sprinkle the seasoning mix over the steaks, pressing it into the meat.


Preheat your Grill

  • Preheat your grill to high heat (about 450-500°F).


Grill the Steaks

  • Place the steaks on the grill and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until the internal temperature reaches your desired doneness:

  • Rare: 120-125°F

  • Medium-rare: 130-135°F

  • Medium: 140-145°F

  • Medium-well: 150-155°F

  • Well-done: 160°F and above

  • For extra flavor, you can add a sprig of fresh rosemary or thyme on top of each steak while grilling.


Rest the Steaks

  • Remove the steaks from the grill and let them rest on a cutting board for about 5 minutes. This allows the juices to redistribute throughout the meat.


Serve

  • Serve the grilled ribeye steaks with lemon wedges on the side for a fresh burst of flavor.
